Our Learning & Education service offers a huge variety of curriculum-based, facilitated workshops for school pupils of all ages as well as school trips, sleepovers, teacher training and bespoke projects.
From Creative Writing to Environment and History, choose from a wide range of curriculum-linked workshops designed to help you and your school make the most of Newstead Abbey. All charges are based on a minimum of 20 pupils. For schools visiting with fewer numbers, please contact us.

Bring your school group for a great learning experience, exploring Newstead Abbey, from the Cloisters to the Japanese Room, or the beautiful grounds. Following a warm welcome, you’ll have access to our site for the day as well as a base for your bags and coats, a space to eat your lunch and a tour for just £5 per pupil.
Access Artefacts is the handling collection for Nottingham Museums and contains objects covering a range of themes, including social history, archaeology, geology, industrial history and the natural sciences.
