Come and learn about…

History: changes within living memory and beyond living memory; understanding some of the ways in which we find out about the past

In this session:

  • Open Great Granny’s toybox – what can we see? Do we have any toys like the ones she played with? What were her toys made of and how did they work? Were there different toys for boys and girls or rich and poor children in those days?
  • Look at original old fashioned toys from the museum’s collection
  • Re-discover the fun that was had then and the skills they would have needed by playing with reproductions of some of the toys they’ve seen
  • Look at the Nursery Attics where the Webb family children lived in Victorian times

Duration: 1.5 hours | 10.30am -12noon or 1pm – 2.30pm

Cost per session: £6 per child
