We are now entering the new, exciting phase of the ‘Raise The Roof’ works at Newstead Abbey. The house is being prepared for the works by our Curators in readiness for the planned repairs.

The new ‘Heart of Medieval Newstead’ exhibition in the Cloisters is open every day 11am – 4pm (last entry 3pm) and a walk through of the main House will be available at 12PM & 2PM at weekends & school holidays. The ‘Heart of Medieval Newstead’ exhibition and House Walk Throughs are included in Standard Admission.

Enjoy a self-led walk through historic Newstead Abbey, Lord Byron’s ancestral home. See the historic Great Hall, his Dining Room, Study & Lord Byron’s personal possessions from our extensive collections

Our team are on hand to answer queries about the house.

Time: 12pm & 2pm

Included in Standard Admission, and free to Annual Pass and Rover Ticket holders.

Please attend the house reception 10 minutes before your time slot.
