Newstead Abbey was closed on Sunday 3rd December due to adverse weather conditions. If you had pre-booked you will be able to come along another day when Newstead Abbey & Gardens are open or receive a refund.

If you booked Narnia at Newstead House Admission on Sunday, you can simply bring your ticket and we will honour it on an alternative day. If you instead booked a House Tour, Afternoon Tea or Christmas Dinner, please email us to newstead.abbey@nottinghamcity.gov.uk we will be able to confirm your booking for an alternative day. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Join us for a Historic House tour of Newstead Abbey

Meet one of our tour guides to explore some of the fascinating history of Newstead Abbey as we take a walk through the house.

Find out more about our most famous resident, George Gordon Byron, and hear some of the stories of the time he spent at Newstead Abbey.

Date / Time:

Each Saturday & Sunday at 3 pm.

Tour length: 1 hour approx.

Tickets: Adult £12 / Kids Go Free (with paying adult)

Meeting point: In front of Newstead Abbey shop / Main reception

Recommended for 8 years and up.

(Allow 10 minutes before your tour for meeting).

Tickets can be arranged onsite in our House shop each day.

Site entry or parking charges apply.

House admission is included before your tour start time.
